Official Rules & Regulations

“TED LOOK-A-LIKE” CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT TO PARTICIPATE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW IT WORKS: From 4:30pm to 7:00pm EDT on August 6, 2026 (the “Contest Period”), a “Ted Look-A-Like” Contest (the “Contest”) will be held at the Apple Store at 767 5th Ave., New York, NY (the “Apple Store”).

2. ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be 18 years of age or older. Participants shall be required to provide acceptable evidence and confirmation of their age. Participants must present valid form of identification. Void where prohibited by law. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, Apple, Inc. (“Apple”) and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, manufacturers or distributors of contest materials and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to enter.

3. HOW TO PLAY: During the Contest Period, an individual (hereinafter “Contestant”) who wishes to participate in the Contest will be judged based on the degree to which they look and act like the character Ted Lasso by a panel of judges designated by Sponsor. The final three (3) Contestants will be judged based on the following judging criteria (“Judging Criteria”).The winner will be announced at the Apple Store at the conclusion of all judging rounds.

Contestants will engage in a three-round contest, with eliminations occurring each round as decided by the panel of judges based on the following judging criteria (“Judging Criteria”). Round one (“Ted Energy”) will be based on guest participation in the contest game of introducing themselves in character and having a two minute dance break. The contestant pool will be narrowed down to ten (10) semi-finalists by our panel of judges with the judging criteria: (a) Ted Energy (50%) – optimism, posture, presence. Do they radiate 'Believe'?; (b) Costume Commitment (20%) – Full AFC Richmond? Ted-coded outfit? Do they look ready to inspire a room?; (c) Participation Level (30%) – Are they committing to the Ted of it all? Are they introducing themselves with enthusiasm and joining in the dance party. Round two (“Head Coach”) will be based on the semi-finalist’s participation in a trivia game and the level to which each participant embraces the Ted Lasso character. The contestant pool will be narrowed down to five (5) finalists by our panel of judges with the judging criteria: (a) Ted Lasso Trivia (30%) – How well did they do during the trivia round?; (b) Costume Commitment (30%) – Full AFC Richmond? Ted-coded outfit? Do they look ready to inspire a room?; (c) Mustache Authenticity (20%) – Are they owning the mustache? Are they into the character enough that they are pulling it off? Stick-ons OK; real grows extra credit. Based on crowd cheering; (c) The Believe Factor (20%) - Something unique to them and special, a pep in their step that feels like the character. In Round Three (“Ted Talk”) the contestant will present a short pep talk to the crowd. The contestant pool will be narrowed down to three (3) finalists by our panel of judges with the judging criteria: (a) Embracing the Lasso Way (60%) – The ability to move the crowd with their 30-45 second pep talk. Do they believe in Rom-Communism? Does their speech inspire the crowd to believe in it too? Determined by crowd cheering; (b) Costume Commitment (15%) – Full AFC Richmond? Ted-coded outfit? Do they look ready to inspire a room?; (c) Ted Energy (25%) – Optimism, posture, stage presence. Do they radiate 'Believe'?. The winning Contestant must be present at the time of the announcement of the winner of the Contest. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest, including, but not limited to, interpretation and application of these Official Rules. By entering the Contest, contestants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

4. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: No more than four (4) prizes will be awarded to the first place winner and two finalists. Any potential winner is subject to verification by Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee, whose decision is final and binding. A Contestant is not a winner of any prize unless and until said Contestant’s eligibility and the potential win has been verified, said Contestant has been notified that verification is complete and any documentation necessary for verification has been submitted to Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee for verification. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize will be permitted. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The winner of a prize, if any, must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Waiver of Liability Agreement and where legally permissible a Publicity Release upon confirmation of the verified win. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. Participation in the Contest constitutes permission for Sponsor, Apple and its agencies to use Contestant’s name, address, likeness, photograph, picture, portrait, voice, biographical information and/or any statements made by each Contestant regarding this Contest or Apple for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

5. PRIZE: Four (4) prizes totaling $300 in approximate retail value (“ARV”), consisting of a custom soccer scarf (3) for each finalist and custom Beats headphones (1) for the first prize winner are available to be won. All taxes on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

6. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS. By participating, each Contestant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, Apple and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, and its advertising and promotion agencies and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors (collectively, “Released Entities”), from and against any claims made by winners, entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Contest as well as any other claims, damages or liability resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Contest or from the misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Contest or any other Contest-related activity. Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this Contest in any way shall be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible if the Contest cannot take place or if any prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: WHEREVER ENFORCEABLE, THIS CONTEST IS NOT SUBJECT TO LEGAL RECOURSE. WHEREVER ENFORCEABLE, IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASED ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ENTRY IN THE CONTEST. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THIS CONTEST AND ALL PRIZES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.

8. GOVERNING LAW; DISPUTES: Wherever enforceable, the parties waive all rights to trial in any action or proceeding instituted in connection with these Official Rules, including, without limitation, the Contest. Wherever enforceable, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Official Rules and/or the Contest shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any such controversy or claim shall be arbitrated on an individual basis and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party. The arbitration shall be conducted in the State of New York. For any matters which are not subject to arbitration as set forth in these Official Rules and/or in connection with the entering of any judgment on an arbitration award in connection with these Official Rules and/or the Contest, the parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in or closest to the County of New York, New York. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens. Except where prohibited by law, all issues concerning the construction, validity and enforcement of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Contestant and Sponsor, shall be construed and governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflicts of law rules.

9. WINNER'S LIST: For the name of the winner, send an email to gatheringoftheteds@civic-us.com. Requests must be received no later than 60 days after the Contest ends.

10. OFFICIAL RULES: A copy of these Official Rules will be available from Sponsor representatives at the Apple Store for the duration of the contest and upon request from Sponsor.
